Members of the Central Visayas Regional Project Monitoring Team at Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Bajumpandan Main Campus

Three ongoing projects in Negros Oriental were inspected recently by the Regional Project Monitoring Team (RPMT) as part of the validation process of the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC).

The RPMT conducted last 21 November 2022 an ocular visit to the following projects: (a) DOH’s completion of Tanjay City General Hospital; (b) DPWH’s construction of a two-storey, 8-classroom building, and a two-storey, six-classroom building in Matambok Elementary School in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental; and (c) NORSU’s expansion of a 60-classroom/academic building in the main campus in Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City.

During the visit, the RPMT validated the projects’ progress reports submitted by the respective implementing agencies. The RPMT’s findings and recommendations will then be presented to the Central Visayas RPMC in the first quarter of 2023, where reporting of projects encountering implementation problems is part of the regular agenda.

Comprising the team that conducted the ocular visit were RPMC-private sector representative from Negros Oriental, Dr. Profetiza Lim, and staff from the Negros Oriental Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO).
